The Board of Trustees functions to provide an additional layer of accountability by reviewing and approving school policies and finances, ensuring adherence to the five-year Strategic Plan, and advising the school’s leadership on a range of matters when called upon.
Whenever possible, board meetings are held on the first Tuesday of every month, except July and August.

Richmond Holden, Jr., President
Richmond Holden, Jr. has over 25 years of executive experience leading, innovating, and transforming the educational services industry at organizations like Educators Publishing Service and J.L. Hammett Co. He currently serves as the President of the Curriculum Group at School Specialty Inc as well as Executive Vice President for the Corporation. He is a former member of the Renaissance School Board of Boston. Mr. Holden holds an MBA from Northeastern University.
Regina Campbell-Malone
Regina Campbell-Malone is a science teacher and educator at Nobles and Greenough school. Regina’s goal is to help students develop the skills they need in order to be critical thinkers, competent consumers of information, and concerned citizens. Regina holds a Ph.D from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Sebastian Hamilton
Sebastian Hamilton is the Chief Pharmacy Officer, Operations and Community/Ambulatory Partnerships at Boston Medical Center. Sebastian received his Bachelor’s Degree from Long Island University, a Master of Business Administration from Wilmington University, and his Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of Florida.
Dawn Leaness
Dawn Leaness is the Managing Director of African Women Entrepreneurship Cooperative at The Center for Global Enterprise. Prior to joining The Center for Global Enterprise Dawn spent 11 years working at Codman Academy in various development positions. Dawn holds a MBA from Boston University.

Tiana Stephens
Tiana Stephens received her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and English from Amherst College and her Juris Doctor (JD) from the University of Virginia School of Law. Prior to joining Codman’s School board, she worked at Holland & Knight LLP as an Associate for 8 years and Analysis Group as their Assistant Legal Counsel, before taking her current role at Biogen as their Research and Development Counsel. Tiana serves on the Board of Directors for Brookline Music School and Boston Children’s Museum in their Young Professionals Council.
William Walczak
Bill Walczak, President and Co-Founder, is most associated with the re-development of the Codman Square area of Boston, a multi-cultural community which foundered in the 1970s and became an area known for racial unrest and economic disintegration. Bill was founder and CEO of the Codman Square Health Center, a major factor in the regeneration of the community, is founding president of Codman Academy Charter School, and most recently was CEO of the South End Community Health Center in Boston. He has been President or CEO of health care organizations for 42 years.
Bill is on the Advisory Board for WBUR Public Radio. He is chair of the Board of Trustees of Bunker Hill Community College, and chair of the Massachusetts Business Alliance for Education. He was founding president of the Massachusetts Nonprofit Network, a founder of the Edward Kennedy Health Careers Academy and founding president of Boston HealthNet. He is a past President of the UMass/Boston Alumni Association and is on its Board of Visitors. He serves on the boards of the Rappaport Center at Boston College Law School, Daily Table, HealthWorks at Codman, and The American City Coalition. Bill served on both Governors Deval Patrick’s and Charlie Baker’s Health Care Transition Committees. Bill has worked on community regeneration efforts in a number of countries around the world. He has received numerous awards for his work and ideas.
Ibrahim Wanu ‘12
Ibi Wanu graduated from Codman Academy in 2012, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. Ibi is currently working as an account specialist at K2 Partnering Solutions.
